Chastity Nichols

Lexi LeBlanc

Intern

Lexi is completing a dual master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy through Emporia State University. She enjoys working with people of all ages to help build healthy coping skills and positive mindsets that can be implemented in everyday life. Her areas of interest include depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and traumatic experiences. She approaches therapy with a humanistic outlook through a person-centered, existential lens. Her love for art allows her to bring a unique element to sessions with hopes that it’ll help her clients find creative outlets to navigate big emotions. She believes art therapy is a wonderful tool to use during times when words don’t seem like they’re enough when trying to express themselves, especially when they’re hard to find. Lexi is available in-person or via telehealth.

Haoyu Huang

Intern

Haoyu is currently pursuing her master's degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling at Emporia State University. Over the past two years, she has been actively involved in providing art therapy to students dealing with ADHD, depression, anger issues, and anxiety in primary schools and youth centers. Haoyu was also chosen as one of the candidates to work with a diverse range of individuals, including children, parents, medical staff, cancer survivors, people with developmental disabilities, and seniors through the Kansas Creative Art Industrial Commission's Art in Medicine program. Her approach to therapy is centered around seeking new perspectives and experiences with her clients, utilizing creative and expressive methods. She firmly believes in the strengths of her clients and adopts a person-centered approach to her practice. With a strong background in art therapy, Haoyu possesses the flexibility to tailor treatment plans based on the unique needs of each individual she works with.

Amanda Parkman

Amanda is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Emporia State University. She is interested in working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are looking to overcome trauma. This includes any and all experiences the client views as traumatic. 

 

Amanda’s goal is for her clients to feel they are not alone. Amanda offers person-centered counseling by creating a safe and comfortable environment while integrating multiple approaches to therapy based on the clients needs and desires for their therapeutic journey. Her aim is to present tools, skills, and patterns of behavior to further the client’s resources and knowledge outside of the counseling session. 

 

Post-graduation, Amanda plans to obtain a PhD to further research how trauma affects the

mental, physical, and nutritional health of individuals.

Anna Bertholf

Anna is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Emporia State University. She is interested in working with people of all ages who’re in any life stage. Anna enjoys working with clients to help them gain a better understanding of themselves, learn coping skills for various life problems, and maintain a healthy mentality. Anna knows that each client is different and treats them as such — no two clients are the same. She utilizes an integrated approach by including a variety of theories, such as Adlerian and Family Dynamics. Anna is ready to meet clients where they are and, together, take steps toward bringing happiness, hope, and peace back into their lives. Anna is available in-person or
via telehealth.

Victoria Stevens

Intern

Victoria is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Emporia State University. She enjoys working with older teens and adults. Victoria is interested in working with those who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD, as well as those who have lived through trauma. She is also very interested in postpartum/perinatal mental health. Victoria is available in-person in Olathe or via telehealth. 

 

One of Victoria’s favorite quotes is, “Sometimes when you’re in a dark place, you think you’ve been buried. But actually, you’ve been planted”  - Christine Caine. She’d love to sit in that space with you to help you navigate all the tough things life throws. Victoria believes that, sometimes, all we need is for someone to hold hope for us until we can fully grasp it ourselves, which is what she’d love to do for you. She strives to bring unconditional acceptance, with an emphasis on grace for self and others, along with genuine compassion for
each of her clients.
