“Kiernan, or “Kay” is the ultimate blend of play and person-centered therapy. Kay believes in creating a relaxed and comfortable environment where clients feel safe and are able to freely express their thoughts and emotions. With a dash of humor and a whole lot of empathy, Kay is all about putting clients at the center of their therapy experience which means collaborating and tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Amy Green

Amy is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Emporia State
University. She enjoys working with people of all ages but has a passion for older teens and
young adults. Amy has a strong belief in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and strives
to help clients find tools to manage life’s trials.

Haoyu Huang

She/Her

Olathe, KS office or telehealth (KS, MO, IA)

Haoyu recently completed her master's degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling at Emporia State University. Over the past two years, she has been actively involved in providing art therapy to students dealing with ADHD, depression, anger issues, and anxiety in primary schools and youth centers. Haoyu was also chosen as one of the candidates to work with a diverse range of individuals, including children, parents, medical staff, cancer survivors, people with developmental disabilities, and seniors through the Kansas Creative Art Industrial Commission's Art in Medicine program. Her approach to therapy is centered around seeking new perspectives and experiences with her clients, utilizing creative and expressive methods. She firmly believes in the strengths of her clients and adopts a person-centered approach to her practice. With a strong background in art therapy, Haoyu possesses the flexibility to tailor treatment plans based on the unique needs of each individual she works with.

Amanda Parkman

Amanda recently completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Emporia State University. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are looking to overcome trauma. This includes any and all experiences the client views as traumatic. 

 

Amanda’s goal is for her clients to feel they are not alone. Amanda offers person-centered counseling by creating a safe and comfortable environment while integrating multiple approaches to therapy based on the client's needs and desires for their therapeutic journey. Her aim is to present tools, skills, and patterns of behavior to further the client’s resources and knowledge outside of the counseling session. 

 

Post-graduation, Amanda plans to obtain a PhD to further research how trauma affects the

mental, physical, and nutritional health of individuals.

Alphia Clear

Alphia is pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Family, Marriage, and Couples Counseling through MidAmerica Nazarene University. She enjoys working with a wide range of ages but is especially passionate about working with children. She wants children to have a safe place where they feel heard and understood and is excited to utilize play therapy with her clients. Upon graduation, she plans to obtain a play therapy certificate, enabling her to become a Registered Play Therapist. Alphia sees clients out of both the Olathe and Merriam offices.
