Indra Mursid, LPC
I am passionate about working with individuals and couples who are neurodiverse, communities of color, creatives, communities of marginalization, 2SLGBTQIA+, and transracial adoptees (domestic and international). I work from a collaborative and semi-directive approach that is geared towards what you want to process meeting you where you are at. I tend to work with a variety of frameworks - psychodynamic (acknowledging and identifying how the past influences the way you behave, think, or believe in the present), Gestalt (working through the past and unfinished business to focus on the present), Person-Centered (giving you autonomy to lead sessions with what you want to talk about), and systems-based theory (how different systems or intergenerational patterns are affecting or exacerbating the way we think, behave, or believe) sprinkling in CBT and DBT. I believe that you are the expert in your lived experiences so I encourage any and all feedback in sessions so that it feels like you have choice and a voice.
I have prior clinical experience in non-profit organizations and high school and university level education systems.
